The University of Arizona and Vanderbilt University Medical Center are seeking volunteers for a research study investigating Lipedema, body composition and gait disorders.  The researchers at UA and VUMC said "We know that lipedema can affect a woman's gait, and that many women with lipedema develop knee and ankle problems like arthritis, and can have significant difficulty walking ("impaired mobility").  But we don't know WHY! We also don't have very much information on exactly HOW women with lipedema walk differently from women who are unaffected, and if that difference makes them more likely to have impaired mobility. By collecting data on how women with lipedema walk, and comparing them to unaffected women ("controls"), we hope to better understand how lipedema impacts their gaits." Click here to sign up.
